WOOT!! THE PIGDOG RETURNS!!!

Libby came home,
after a two day scare
that involved losing her collar
and much of her good humor.
Which in the past had led to her
cheerful acceptance of all
marked down dog food.
And I have a 50# bag in my trunk -
What? it cost $4.50!!

She looks and acts fine
with only a small limp.

I'm glad she came back this morning
because we're expecting thunderstorms this afternoon,
and she hates those. We shall try to make her comfortable...

BECAUSE I FEAR THE WALRUS

I'm back for a quick post because if I don't want to lose my blog to the walrus madness that is the Forums these days! What has happened in the last 6 weeks?

We had two great weeks at Camp Shiloh!
Rose got very sick.
We had a fun family reunion out at Mom's in Black River. With Uncle Carl!
We adopted a new kitty, Officer Bennito (Benny).

We all (minus Jere - bummer!) went on our first real vacation (Canada's Wonderland).
We got Rose ready to go back to Potsdam, she was feeling somewhat better.
We had Rose home after the Rascal Flats concert at the State Fair that next Wednesday.
Phil and Kate came to visit us before they got settled into their routines for fall.
Benny got hit and killed by an unknown assailant (we believe our other kitty, Smudge was somehow involved...).
Libby our lab began acting a bit strangely (limpy...Smudge again?)
The kids went back to school; soccer season is open!
One of Rose's dear friends lost her husband of 33 days last Thursday, and we attended the funeral with her yesterday.

Facts, links and photos to follow....

Know you are loved,
Mom

I'LL PRAISE YOU IN THE STORM
CASTING CROWN

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”,
and it’s still raining...

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cryY
ou raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You?

And as the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm...

I lift my eyes unto the Lord
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
Maker of the Heavens and earth...
