Yes, the diet's going well, thanks for asking -6 pounds this week! And I'm hardly cranky at all. You may think it strange to talk about addition when discussing dieting - which is all about subtracting (hopefully) - but the truth is it's all about little steps. And adding those little steps together. Again, and again, and again. Perhaps faithfulness is like that. It's just a choice made over - and over and over again. Like prayer, and devotions and lunch...

In other news, the airline tickets were purchased last week for Rachel Sweet's wedding on 5/27/06. It should be a great time. Mom and I are looking forward to it. We leave the day after Tom's Graduation which is two days after Jere's graduation. We will be very tired, but again each step is still one small one. Those special days follow John's birthday (this Friday on St. Rugglin's Day!), and Jere's bday a few days later, and Sarah's a couple days after that. Just in case that's not enough cake and ribbons on the shopping list, I'll need to throw in two - no three Mother's Day celebrations as well. So the final count is three birthdays, three Mother's Days, two graduations, one wedding (oops, and a baby shower for Chris and Sarah Snyder, too!), and a partridge in a pear tree. I love cake.

Don't worry, I will be faithful to keep taking the small steps - one after another, after another.
